Affiliate marketing is similar to what is called crowd sourcing but it is done by a third party and not by the company itself. The subsidiary that does the job of getting customers for the production company is called the affiliate and is paid on the basis of the volume of customers drawn towards the product seller. It is different from franchise system as it does not require the affiliate to actually sell the product instead its job is just to draw the customers to the source of the products, the rest is handled by the company itself.

When I deliver my elevator pitch to a leads group, my goal is to educate everyone in the room about my company and what I do, as well as to teach them the best way to refer others to me. In addition, I want to make sure I actually ask for a specific referral.
